Feed and Water

We feed a grain elevator mixed horse feed.  Boarders may provide other feed or supplements which we will feed.

We grow our own timothy/alfalfa mix hay.  The hay barn is separate from the stable area for safety and protection of the hay.

Each pasture stock tank is heated in the winter and cleaned frequently in the summer.  Stall water buckets are changed daily and scrubbed regularly.  Stall water is checked throughout the evening.

Turn Out

Primary Turnout: Daily, weather and safety permitting

Two large 5+ acre pastures

Paddocks: Three 320 x 110 feet

New Arrivals: Weekends are preferred as care is taken when new horses are introduced to a group. A watchful eye is kept on them to see how the horses interact with each other and how they  are doing during the day.

Fencing: Alternating strands of Cameo and electrified Equi-Rope. Cameo is flexible and is much safer than wire fencing, We have been injury-free for 25 years.
